Daily water calculator
A general estimate, not medical advice. If you have a kidney, heart or thyroid condition, are pregnant, or take medication that affects fluid balance, ask your doctor for your own target.
Keep this goal on your phone: Suvia
A number you calculated once is easy to forget by 3 p.m. Suvia holds today's goal, fills up as you log each glass, and reminds you at the right moments — more often when you are behind, not at all once you are done, and never while you sleep.

Frequently asked questions
Do tea, coffee and food count?
Yes. Every drink counts toward your fluid intake, and food adds roughly another 20%. Plain water is still the best base, because it brings no sugar, salt or caffeine with it.
Can you drink too much water?
It is rare, but yes. Several litres in a short time can dilute the sodium in your blood. Spread your intake across the day rather than catching up all at once in the evening.
How do I know I am drinking enough?
Pale yellow urine and no lasting thirst are the simplest signs. Dark urine, an afternoon headache or sudden tiredness often mean you have fallen behind.
